I'll be at the Radisson this summer. It has the nicest grounds and best location on the beach.

Enjoy!
avoid the cluster f* at the high rise district at palm beach, go south 3 miles to eagle, nice little places there

  • What happens if you miss the departure of a cruise? Are you allowed to catch up at the next point and board?

Just trying to plan something out. One person out of our 25 person group on NCL in June may not make it to departure due to work. What happens to people who miss it? Can they board at an island?
What happens if you miss the departure of a cruise? Are you allowed to catch up at the next point and board?
The best thing to do, would be to contact NCL. Explain the situation and ask what to do. If they have air from NCL and the plane comes in, the boat won't leave until they are on (if it is in a reasonable amount of time)

I would like to tell you that yes, they will allow this. But some lines/captains are very strict about different policies and I wouldn't want to rely on them letting me on, only to get there and find out that they won't let them on.

If you call, NCL will be able to tell you what can or cannot be done. But you will want to be sure to get this arranged and finalized soon so that you aren't close to departure and the person has to buy air.
What happens if you miss the departure of a cruise? Are you allowed to catch up at the next point and board?
    Yep. That's your only option.
    Yep. That's your only option.
Absolutely. All they need to do is to pick up a flight to the next Port of call and board there.
Yes, they may embark the ship at the first stop, just remember a lot of cruises have a day at sea before they arrive at the first island, and the expense of flying to the first island is on the passenger.

No big chain supermarkets..just alot of smaller ones. Many mini markets.but most carry many of the same items that you would get in the US.If there is something that you just gotta have..bring it! For example, I couldn t find tuna fish in water..only in oil..

There's only one chain, which is called Winn Dixie. There is one store in downtown Freeport and another about a mile from Port Lucaya, which is where many of the hotels are located. There are lots of smaller, local stores, including Butler's (located downtown) that has lots of imported specialty items. Also, be aware of what type of food you bring with you, especially if it isn't cooked or packaged, because there are agricultural laws about importing meat, fruits and vegetables.

what fooods and driinks can be found in the bahamas??

its 4 a report plz answer!
what fooods and driinks can be found in the bahamas??
Depends! If you are in the south Bahamas, you will find the touristy places, with all the usual. In the north, around the Abaco islands, it is more native.

Chicken, steaks, fish and such. And at the Harbour Island, they have a drink called a "Painkiller". It has three kinds of rum and much more. No pain till morning.

In Hurricane Hole, a small island near the south east part of the Abacos, I had one of the best cheeseburgers, and the coldest beer I have ever had.
what fooods and driinks can be found in the bahamas??
conch fritters, conch soup, conch chowder, steam fish, roast fish, johnny cakes
conch fritters, conch soup, conch chowder, steam fish, roast fish, johnny cakes
Local foods are shellfish: conch and crawfish (like lobster). Conch comes from a shell and is cooked as conch fritters (fried in a dough), conch salad, cracked conch (dredged in flour and fried) and conch chowder (like spicy Manhattan clam chowder). The local fish are grouper and red snapper. Deserts are guava duff, coconut cakes and pies. There are lots of local fruits like papaya, guava, soursop, and mango. Non-alcoholic drinks are coconut juice, limeade from native limes and sour oranges. There are lots of alcohol drinks made from rum.

What food would I eat in the Dominican Republic?

What food would i eat in the Dominican Republic if i went there?
What food would I eat in the Dominican Republic?
Bananas, rice and beans, chicken, platinos (deep-fried platanes, which are kind of like bananas), mangu (mashed plantanes), and my personal fav, sancocho ( a stew of meat, carrots, peas, string beans, and sometimes pumpkin or sweet potato). The rice and beans, as well as the platinos and chicken, have a lot of fat and cholesterol.
What food would I eat in the Dominican Republic?
Whatever you want, in the capital they have many restaurants featuring Spanish, French and Italian food.

    However, Dominican food's the best:

Roast Pork, beans, rice, "mangĂș" (mashed plantains), beef, cassava, pumpkin. "Sancocho" (a stew made from beef and vegetables is excellent).
